Knudson Foundation Grants

“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”

How it Works

The Foundation Grant Process

Frequently Asked Questions

Each year the Board of Directors research charitable activities around Oregon, paying particular attention to rural communities and needs. The Board members identify potential non-profits and bring the non-profit to the Board for discussion. The Board votes to extend an invitation to a non-profit and suggests dollar amount. The non-profit is contacted and the invitation to complete a grant request is extended to that non-profit.

Any IRS 501(c)(3) organization is potentially eligible for a grant from the foundation. Past grants have included to organizations for education, arts, health, animal rescue, abuse prevention, first responders, senior centers, homeless individuals, community theaters, respite programs, veterans programs, and chaplains.

Grants are normally made in mid-December of each year.

Each year the Board researches Oregon non-profits and selects several for invitations. If you would like the Board to consider your organization, please send an email to [email protected]. The email should include a link to your website. Due to the volume of requests, we can not, at this time, send acknowledgements that we have received your email.
